About me

I am Karla, a Neurodevelopmental Therapist, specialising in reflex integration therapy. I am also a Primary school teacher and a mother of three.

I have many years teaching experience in a variety of settings and locations. Having worked in mainstream and Special Schools in both Ireland and the U.K. I took some time off to raise my own children. During this time, one of my children was really struggling and when we reached 'crisis point’ I discovered Neurodevelopmental Therapy. Our excellent, and well established practitioner was retiring shortly after our program. Having seen the life changing results first hand I undertook extensive training with the INPP to become fully qualified. I saw firsthand the role Retained Primitive Reflexes play in a variety of different learning and behavioural challenges. The positive impact that reflex integration therapy has had on my child and our entire family as a whole, cannot be understated. Our child is thriving, or family is happy and our sleep quantity and quality has greatly increased.  I am now offering these reflex integration services in the Buncrana area.

I’ve trained with the Institute for Neurological-Physiological Psychology (INPP) a globally respected leader in understanding the role of retained primitive reflexes in children’s development. I support children struggling with coordination, attention or learning by integrating retained primitive reflexes - the hidden barriers to development.

If your child is experiencing difficulties at school, frequent meltdowns, or seems to be lagging behind their peers despite their potential, you’re in the right place.

My passion lies in helping children who are struggling - not because they aren’t capable, but because their nervous systems haven’t yet developed the solid foundation they need to thrive.

After working with children in various educational settings, I discovered that many of the challenges they faced - be it emotional outbursts, poor handwriting, clumsiness, or difficulty focusing often had a common root: retained reflexes from early development. Neurodevelopmental therapy is a powerful, non-invasive, drug-free method of helping children rewire their neurological foundations.

How I work

I offer detailed assessments to identify retained reflexes and create personalised movement programs based on the INPP method. These programs are designed to be completed at home with parental support and are reviewed regularly to monitor progress and adjust as needed.

My approach is:

  • Holistic - Looking at the child as a whole, not just the symptoms

  • Individualised - No two children are the same, and neither are their therapy plans

  • Supportive - I’m here to guide, reassure, and encourage every step of the way

My mission

To help children unlock their full potential by building stronger neurological foundations - so they can move, learn, and live with greater ease.

What I offer:

  • In-depth neurodevelopmental assessments

  • Individualised reflex integration programs

  • Parent support and education

  • School support and educational talks
